History
In the mid-19th century, Fazenda São Bento was a major coffee producer in the Atibaia region.
Its main house was built entirely of rammed earth, with large windows and doors made of hardwoods, such as pine and cinnamon.
Large imperial palm trees were planted in its gardens, a status symbol for the culture of the time. Its coffee production ended around 1911, as stated in the inscription on the old coffee tunnel through which the beans passed until they reached the drying yards.
Fazenda São Bento was purchased by an entrepreneur and divided into lots in 1986. In 1987, the main house of the farm was purchased by the current owner and a complete restoration project has been carried out since then with the utmost care to maintain the colonial architecture.
With this distinction, it began to be chosen for magazine articles, soap opera settings and photo shoots. In 1999, a beautiful wedding was held for a family member of the owner, which sparked the idea of opening the venue for events.
From then on, Vivenda Colonial became a cozy and relaxed space for events, where several weddings, wedding anniversaries and vow renewals were held for very special couples who were part of our history.
